Qualified Professional Psychotherapist
I graduated from Exeter University with an MSc in Psychological Therapies (specialising in CBT).
Being a professional psychotherapist and as a member of both the British Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapy (BABCP) and the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), I abide by their code of ethics and professional practice.
When I qualified for my Diploma in Professional Counselling Studies at the University of the West of England, I have also studied psychology with the Open University.
Having trained as an Eating Disorders Practitioner with the National Centre for Eating Disorders I have a special interest in the latest research on diet, exercise and stress.
I am a Licensed Master Practitioner of NLP and am accredited to practice through The Society of Neuro-Linguistic Programming in association with Richard Bandler.
I have a Certificate In The Study of The Couple Relationship undertaken with the internationally renowned Tavistock Relationships (formed 1948).
I offer clinical supervision to professionals in all spheres of the helping professions. (Certificate in Supervision; Robin Shohet; The Centre for Supervision and Team Development). I utilise the Seven Eyed Model of Supervision (Hawkins and Shohet 2012, 4th edition).
My practice
Working from my private practice in Cheltenham I help both individuals and couples. Additionally, I offer supervision to therapists and mental health professionals.
As a fully qualified psychotherapist I have been fortunate enough to have worked with, and been trained by, experts in the forefront of psychotherapy research.
